Flexible assessment
The Language Lab has a highly flexible assessment system, which ranges from simple written feedback to criteria based schemes for coursework or examinations. Each activity within a task can be assessed qualitatively or quantitatively. In addition to commonly used assessment criteria, there is also an option for customization.
Automatic marking
Exercises, such as multiple choice and picture labelling, are marked automatically. However, the teacher can still specify the mark total and send feedback for each activity.

Mark totalling and multiple assessment criteria
The teacher can manage the mark scheme himself or the scores for individual activities can be totalled automatically. There is also a multiple criteria scheme where, within a task, one section is marked automatically and others are based on subjective criteria, such as a grade for effort or a fixed percentage for pronunciation or fluency.
Schoolshape's assessment system is clear and simple to use for everyday marking, yet flexible and powerful enough to cope with complex schemes. Whether formative or summative, qualitative or quantitative, the Language Lab meets all assessment requirements.
